This 10' banner was hung in 1987 to celebrate the reunion of the Galloping Ghosts Football Club. The Ghosts were Intermediate "A" Dominion champions in 1946, 1948 and 1950.

This 1939 team photograph depicts the ORFU champion Galloping Ghosts. The team went on to win 8 Provincial and 3 Dominion Championships in 13 years. The Galloping Ghosts are the most successful team to emerge from the Cobourg area's rich sports tradition

This history of the Galloping Ghosts was written by Paul Currelly who was a longstanding player. He later managed one of Cobourg's other highly successful teams, the Cobourg Angels women's fastball team that won numerous provincial women's championships
