This 1939 team photograph depicts the ORFU champion Galloping Ghosts. The team went on to win 8 Provincial and 3 Dominion Championships in 13 years. The Galloping Ghosts are the most successful team to emerge from the Cobourg area's rich sports tradition

Before the "golden era" of television, home playoff games were a much anticipated local event as this poster suggests. This poster advertised the ORFU Intermediate B provincial final against the Sarnia Wildcats played at Memorial Park on November 17, 1951

This Galloping Ghosts team photograph was taken in 1937. That year was the inaugural season under the Galloping Ghosts name (formally the Red Raiders). At that time, most of the roster was made up of local area talent.

This program is from the 1952 Galloping Ghosts season. The opponent is unknown. The 1952 season was the year of the last of 3 Dominion Canadian Rugby Union championships for the team.

Before the age of television and electronic scoreboards, the game programme was one of the major sources of information about the team. This example was produced for a game between the Galloping Ghosts and the Oshawa Red Raiders on October 11, 1952.
