1990 Cobourg Angels Women's Fastball photo at Canadian Nationals in Vancouver. Mary-Jo McCarthy, Lyn McMahon, and Wendy Dobbin were picked up from other Ontario teams. Marg Skillen joined to coach as a certified woman coach was required for the Nationals. Janyce Gunn, Kirsten Leis, and Sherry Hoffman came from the Scarborough Angels. The team finished 4th at the Nationals. Ontario Senior Tier I Champions vs. Dorchester. Jackie Oulahen is named tournament MVP and Isobel Nichols wins Top Hitter with a .667 average. The Cobourg Galloping Ghosts are the most famous team in Cobourg sports history. Managed by Fred Dufton, the Ghosts won eight Ontario championships, five after World War II. They were Canadian Dominion champions in 1946, 1948 and 1950. They were the first team in Canada to wear aluminum cleats and the second to wear white uniforms.
