Kristina and Team McKenzie Mitchell, representing Team Newfoundland and Labrador, are Provincial Champions — a fantastic accomplishment and one we’re proud to celebrate at WNCC.
Kristina joined WNCC this season and curls in our Tuesday Night Mixed Competitive League alongside Reis Brauch, Kaitlin Jewer, and Brian Darling. It’s been wonderful to have this team as part of our club and league, and we’re thrilled to see Kristina’s success on the provincial stage.
Next up, Kristina and Team Newfoundland and Labrador will be heading to Mississauga to compete in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts January 23 to February 1, 2026. We know the entire WNCC community will be cheering them on!

The Cobourg Galloping Ghosts are the most famous team in Cobourg sports history. Managed by Fred Dufton, the Ghosts won eight Ontario championships, five after World War II. They were Canadian Dominion champions in 1946, 1948 and 1950. They were the first team in Canada to wear aluminum cleats and the second to wear white uniforms.
