A successful season including the North York Super series Tournament champs, PWSA Juvenile A finalists to Dundas (this was the last year the Provincial championships were done in a series format, moving to a tournament style in 1979), Lakeshore League champs over Napanee, Claremont tournament champs, Grafton Tournament champs, North York tournament champs. Record of 38 wins & 10 losses over season. Jim Morrow is added to the coaching roster.

The Cobourg Galloping Ghosts are the most famous team in Cobourg sports history. Managed by Fred Dufton, the Ghosts won eight Ontario championships, five after World War II. They were Canadian Dominion champions in 1946, 1948 and 1950. They were the first team in Canada to wear aluminum cleats and the second to wear white uniforms.
